Things that just didn't fit anywhere else. There are tidbits here and there that we're especially fond of. Here's your random quote of the page loading: With that he took a bite out of the pastry, not voicing the rest of his thoughts about the project. He didn't like the changes. Blades under the fingernails, retractable via muscle impulse. Stress and strength requirements far exceeding what a normal hand could take. More recently, a hollow space, in the hand, with potential for an easy access. Just large enough that, unless he missed his guess, one of the Lady Taryn's infamous gifts could fit neatly within. It wasn't the same project anymore. Never mind that he couldn't see how to meet that last requirement. Strength, done. Stress, done, but the hand was heavier than he liked. Blades, easy. But reducing the entire system to fit inside half the hand? Here's a view of Shazrad from a perspective outside that of the characters. Although we don't have full-fledged stories here, the vignettes ought to at least give you a glimpse of what kind of writing we demand, and of some of the events in motion behind the scenes. One of the GMs has artistic inclinations, and another artist has been generous to share her visions of Shazrad with us. If you're a visual person, or even if you're not, take a look at some of these drawings. <shazrad@cityofveils.com> |
