This is a beautifully detailed and displayed fantasy world. Its creators have obviously spent a lot of time and effort making it unique, and not just another hackneyed setting full of elves and orcs. Although intended for use with FUDGE, it's open for use with any system. There are two ways to explore the site: through the "Gyrmaster" portal, or the explorer portal, so that you get a view exactly as immersive as you wish, through both words and illustrations.
"Sorry, my mistake"
Comprehensive and down-to-earth advice for anyone who's even considering starting up a PBeM RPG. It ought to be required reading. It performs a remarkable job of making you think twice about running one of these games without being excessively discouraging. Trust us, all of the problems outlined, which are based on the author's personal experiences, are quite accurate. As if that weren't enough, it's hilarious.
Far Jordan Weyr
There are an insane number of Pern-based PBeMs, almost all of which are poorly done. This is the exception. Far Jordan is what happens when you actually put some thought in to the creation of a new weyr. It's worth a visit for the humor--just one example is the question that all applicants must answer, "How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood, and what are the social ramifications of said chucking?"
The Black Wall
Yoon Ha Lee's last campaign is now defunct, but she left everything up for people's perusal. You can skim the surface of her worldbuilding, and read through the archives, which are true to her standards of quality writing and storytelling.
